My work grows out of curiosity. Some suddenly sparked whimsy, reading the end of an unsatisfying story, the recurrence of dreams that evoke anxiety - I wonder what causes the feelings I generate, and the works are captured through reflection. I define my perception as a private perspective driven by a growing self-identity and a cherished sense of  femininity.

Initially, all reflections are often in a form of text, I visualise them by intimate fantasy seasoning, reformulating them into metaphorical and symbolic presences. I often use a thin coat of colour intending to keep the genuine texture of the canvas visible and diffuse the mood with softness. I paint because putting a trace on a surface is all I need.

My work Hiding & Escaping was motivated by exploring the link between a recurring dream and a longing from childhood. I give the watery milieu of botanical and surrealist imagery, implying a memory that encases the viewer. Subjects and specific plots are absent, in this way, leaving the viewer free to build an emotional connection with any part of the painting, to the experience of the own self in a way that is not externally defined. This way, I create a scene that audiences can safely dwell in and let the mood drift.
